In outdoor live testing Sivers IMA together with Blu Wireless has managed to show speeds of over 1 Gbps over a distance exceeding 700 meters using their combined unlicensed 5G Technology in the license free 60 GHz band.
Sivers IMA today announces the launch of the highly integrated wideband RFIC with electronic beam forming for licensed 5G applications at Mobile World Congress starting Monday February 25thin Barcelona, Spain.
This year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona will cast the spotlight on Intelligent Connectivity – 5G in particular.
Combining their individual expertise, UK based Blu Wireless, Swedish Sivers IMA and Japanese firm Fujikura will publicly show live demonstrations of both unlicensed 5G at 57-71 GHz (WiGig) as well as licensed 5G at 24.0-29.5 GHz.
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) will take place in Barcelona, starting February 26th, and Sivers IMA will attend the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry to engage with customers to show and discuss around new products and the future of millimeter wave technology.
Last year at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Sivers IMA Holding AB (Sivers IMA) and Cambridge Communication Systems (CCS) signed a contract for the development of a 60GHz radio module for CCS’ new self-organizing (SON) mmWave access and backhaul Metnet node. During this year’s show in Barcelona, CCS is showcasing its new product.

Sivers IMA today proudly announce the upcoming launch of a new beamforming transceiver RFIC at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona February 27thto March 2nd. The TRX-BF01 is a WiGig/802.11ad compliant 16+16 beam forming transceiver. It is a carrier grade, high speed WiGig RFIC targeting data and telecommunication infrastructure applications for the networks solutions of today and tomorrow. TRX-BF01 can be used in high speed fixed wireless access (FWA), meshed networking and backhaul as well as fronthaul solutions. It is currently supporting the 60 GHz V-band.
