Historical Milestones
1951 Sivers Lab AB was founded in Stockholm by the engineer Carl von Sivers. Mechanically related microwave products. Slotted line VSWR detector for professional use
1960 Sivers Lab AB was bought by Philips, Sweden. Training kit for Technical High Schools and Universities
1975 IMA AB was founded in Stockholm. Microwave, hybrid products.
High stability Local Oscillators for ground and aircraft radars
1983 IMA was purchased by Philips, Sweden and merged with Sivers Lab. New name Sivers IMA. YIG filters (and oscillators)
1990 SI Holding AB was created for a management buy-out of Sivers IMA from Philips in order to be able to approach the market as an independent supplier. Front end for level gauging (X band FMCW)
1997 Sivers IMA sells the operations primarily related to mechanical, defense related products and retains the hybrid oscillator products and telecom products in order to facilitate development on commercial, wireless/telecom products. Ultra Wide Band Oscillators
1998 Sivers IMA acquires Lyscom, Lysekil/Sweden, who develop and produce filter/coupler products and subsystems for microwave radio and satcom front ends.
Waveguide Diplexer — Satcom Ku band
2000 Sivers IMA introduce tune free diplexers for Radio Link applications, at the European Microwave week in Paris. A new R&D office is also established in Gothenburg.
Waveguide Diplexer — Microwave radio
2003 Sivers IMA re-focus and expand the portfolio to also include solutions for the military market.
Oscillators for receivers in UAV:s
2004 Sivers IMA introduce a family of low phase noise VCO. The oscillator can directly replace bulky microphony sensitive DRO:s. Low phase noise oscillator
2006 Sivers IMA introduce a familly of ultra wideband VCOs 2-20 GHz. By using the latest MMIC technology it has been possible to design a very small unit.
